Coach Privacy Policy

Coach is a personal SMS tutoring project operated by Anup Rao. This policy explains how the planned tutoring pilot handles information. The pilot is for Anup and testers he explicitly invites. It is not currently open for public enrollment.

Information we collect

We collect your mobile number, SMS messages, conversation history and records of your SMS consent. We use this information to provide tutoring replies, learning reminders and check-ins, keep conversations in context, manage consent and answer support requests.

SMS and AI providers

Twilio processes your mobile number and SMS content to deliver messages. Anthropic's Claude processes message text and conversation history to generate tutoring responses. Coach does not separately send your name or mobile number to Claude. If you put identifying information inside a message, it can be included in the text Claude receives. Please do not send passwords, financial details, medical information or other sensitive personal information.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We do not share mobile numbers or SMS consent records with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes. Our service providers process information as needed to operate SMS delivery, hosting and AI responses. This policy describes Coach's handling of information; service providers also apply their own policies to information they process.

Retention and deletion

Coach keeps chats until they are deleted, rather than deleting them automatically after a fixed period. You can ask Anup to delete your Coach chat records by emailing anup.rao@gmail.com. Deletion from Coach does not necessarily delete records retained by Twilio, Anthropic or other service providers under their own policies. Replying STOP ends SMS enrollment; it does not itself delete past chats.

SMS consent and controls

You are not enrolled merely because you give Anup your mobile number or send an initial text. Before enrollment, Coach will provide its SMS terms and privacy notice and ask you to reply YES to agree to tutoring replies and proactive learning reminders and check-ins. Message frequency varies with your conversations and agreed reminder schedule. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop messages. Reply HELP for help, or contact anup.rao@gmail.com. SMS consent is not a condition of a purchase.
